Stairs

This post is a submission of all my 8 stair designs, including an axonometric, an elevation and a top plan of each staircase.

This is a simple revolving stair with a central column and thin-linear-supporting structure connecting each stair step to the centre. i used this stair in my final model between the below ground and the datum.
This stair is a bit tricky to walk on. anyway, it's still a stucture that can make people move from one level to another. This stair is made by only one piece of metal.(steel, aluminum, etc) The piece is twisted in a special way to form steps like origami.

This is just a revolving stair surrounding a hexagon column. Simple but solid.

This stair design is based on the shape of new moon. I used this stair as the connection between the upper stodio to the gallery. Its shape is balanced and elegent.


This stair has its handle in the middle instead of being placed at both sides of the stair.

This stair is made by a couple of overlaying boxex. It's as straight forward as it seems.
The last stair is a bit tricky. This image is a single step of the stair. The section of the stair is a hexagon, which made the step can be walked on any of the 6 sides depending where the client is.

Communication Workshop 3 showroom

this is my second week model. my idea of the model is that two puzzles combined together to form a maze which cant be figured out. my model making for this one is a bit rough because of lack of time. from this perspective u can see two mazes were made in different ways. and they all together form a sphere.


here u can see clearly the two puzzles.



this is my poster for the third week, the city trip. i made a mistake of using literal words to represent my theme, which is the relationg ship of layers of the city. i tried to figure out the influence of the background and the foreground can bring to the buildings by chopping them off or simply moving them away.




this is my posterfor week 4, (de)construction is my word. this poster simply tells the procedure how a stable square element breaks into several pieces and forms a new geometry again.the transfer part in between is the process of construction and deconstruction







the model follows the concept of (de)construction. yes that's right, 'de' in brackets. this model shows the contrast between construction and deconstruction, and the similarity between them also. every construction in my model, no matter how pretty or stable it looks, it's built by damaging a part of another construction, which gives a concept of construct from deconstruction.this concept works not only on architecture, but the field of science or art. innovations always break through old ideas.






there is a long standing tower like stick in my model. it is the only structure in my model that is complete and doesnt break anyone else. it's like the babel tower in the holy book. real truth and immotality lies on the top of it, but as u can see, the stairs connecting the top and the bottom is not successive, which means, no human can actually reach the top point of the tower of only truth. we have to break and exceed ourselves to get closer to the truth, but never reach it.
















a detail of breaking a stable structure(stands for the old rules maybe) to make a curving-upgoing high way(means new ideas maybe). even on the new way, some people (represented as parallel curving pieces)think in more different ways and seperate out.
